There are many virtues of Darood Sharif which call for a voluminous book of permanent nature. Here, some attributes are appended as a gift.
1. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, On the Day of Judgement, that person would be closest to me who would be sending me Daroods in abundance.
2. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, send to me plenty of Daroods on Friday, as these are presented to me.
3. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, if anyone narrates anything about me, he should send me Daroods.
4. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, he is the most miser person who does not send me Daroods when he listens to anything about me.
5. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, anyone who sends Darood once upon me, Allah descends ten bounties upon him, forgives his ten sins and ten virtues are added to his statement of account.(NAMA-E-AMAAL) (NISAI)
6. Hazrat Ans (R.A) has reported that the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) has said that one who sends Daroods upon me in plenty, shall remain under the shadow of Allah. (Zadus Saeed)
7. Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that I myself listen to the Darood Sharif when a person comes to my Roza-e-Aqdas. And if anyone sends me Daroods from a distant place, it is sent to me through the Angels. (Behaqui)
8. Hazrat Umar (R.A) said that if Darood Sharif is not recited before and after any Dua, the Dua remains hung between the earth and the sky.
9. Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that anyone who recites Darood Sharif 100 times, his 100 wants are fulfilled out of which 30 would be fulfilled in this world while the rest would be satisfied in the Hereafter.

10. According to one Hadis, if a person sends upon me ten times Daroods in the morning and ten times in the evening, I will recommend his case (Do Shafa'at) on the Da of Judgement.
Maulana Thanvi has narrated in Zadus Saeed that on the Day of Judgement when the virtues of a faithful Muslim would fall short, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) would put a paper equivalent to the top of the finger in the scale and the scale would go down showing many virtues. That faithful will ask, I may sacrifice my parents upon You, sir, who are you? The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) would say "I am your Prophet and these are the Daroods which you sent to me when you were in the world and this I paid back in the hours of your need.
Therefore, every Muslim should make it convenient to recite Darood Sharif ten times each in the morning as well as in the evening. If he recites thousands of times, it is not sufficient but the more he recites he will more benefit
Let us Pray that Allah may grant inspiration to every Muslim to love his most beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) and adopt His path so that the recommendation of the Prophet (P.B.U.H) can be availed on the Day of Judgement.
